Farmville Strategy Notes

Hello to all your farmville farmers out there!

I have made this website as a help site for those who have a farm on farmville and for anyone who is looking for a little farmville strategy.

I aim to provide many farmville tips and tricks and strategy advice to help you get through the levels faster, get coins faster and make your farm great.

You will find many pages of help for each category of the game, they are listed on the left side menu. The Red links in the left side menu are individual Farmvile Guide Reviews written by other people these are excellent and the best way to level up without spending money to buy FarmVille Coins.

For those that are very new to FarmVille here is a brief rundown of the game.

FarmVille is a social media site game, it is available via facebook, myspace, yahoo and on the Iphone. At the writing of this text there were currently approximately 73 million players!

The basic premise is to manage and develop a farm by clearing land, buying seeds, planting crops and then harvesting and selling the crops. Just like a normal farm, the idea is to pick the profitable crops, harvest at the right time and grow your farm with the money you make (in FarmVille you get coins aka FarmVille dollars aka FV$).

There are also many other ways to make money of farmville and it can get very complicated as it is a very detailed game. You will have to use your social media skills to interact with other farmers to improve your position.

Alternatively you could buy coins from the people that run FarmVille, or earn coins by filling out the games advertiser surveys.

I highly recommend that you do NOT fill out any surveys, as some of the advertiser’s surveys have proven to be very shady. It turns out that one particular survey asks for a phone number to send you a SMS message, but then charges you extra money for that ($9.99 monthly). Read more on the Farmville survey scams page. If you really want to get ahead in FarmVille, forget doing the surveys, you should choose one of the FarmVille guides that will quickly get you high up in the game.

Anyway, more about the game.

There are 70 levels in the game, and you advance through the levels by gaining experience points. Early on it is not too hard to gain experience points and move up, but the higher you go the harder it is to gain enough experience points to “level up”. The key to moving up is learning how to gain coins and experience points through various tips and tricks.

Ok back to my description of Farmville.

There are many ways to make gold coins and many ways to make experience points if FarmVille. My favorite is to get ribbons in Farmville. Ribbons show accomplishment of some feat but also give you coins and experience points. Many ribbon will be attained by just doing day to day activities in FV. Others are harder to get and require that you interact with friends on social networks, these are called neighbors in FarmVille.

Experience points can be earned by doing almost anything in farmville. Probably the quickest way to get experience points is to buy buildings for your farm.

Once you get to a more advanced level there are also crop mastery awards, you get these for harvesting a certain amount of the same crop. You will get extra coins and experience points for these.

It can be hard to figure out just exactly what is required for ribbons, or crop mastery, or which buildings to buy and how to get the most experience points for your efforts in Farmville.
