Farmville Crop Mastery, what is it and how do I get it? This page will help to reveal some answers about crop mastery.

Firstly, what is farmville crop mastery? Put simply, Crop Mastery is and award system in farmville that awards you coins, experience points or items for harvesting a certain amount of a particular crop.

Once you reach level 10 you will ba able to get crop mastery awards, and you will notice in the seed marketplace that the plants have 3 stars below each plant picture. The stars indicate what level you have achieved for that particular crop. To find out how many mastery points you have for each crop, put your mouse over the mastery bar (just below the stars).

Once you reach level 3 for a crop, you are a master for that crop, and when you plant that crop again you will sometimes get larger (bumper) crops and get more experience points for it. Sometimes the experience points are very high, but alternatively sometimes the mastery crops only happen on a small percentage of your crops.

As you can see in the image, this pumpkin crop has 277 crop mastery points, you achieve levels by getting to 500 harvests. The amount of harvests needed will vary between crops, and the longer the crop takes to grow, the lower the number of harvests that are required. For instance artichokes only take 200 harvests, but pumpkins and strawberries take 500 (raspberries take 2000, yikes!).

You will also notice that when you harvest the crop, it will display how many crop mastery points are awarded each time you harvest a crop square.

Crop Mastery awards are quite generous and really do add to your stash of coins and experience points, and it is worth sticking with a crop until you have crop mastery for that particular farmville crop.
